Call for Abstracts:

We are proud to announce that the annual symposium sponsored by the Whittier Law Review, entitled the The Law of the Smart Phone, will be held November 4, 2011 at Whittier Law School in Costa Mesa, California. This symposium is offered jointly with Whittier Law School’s Center for Intellectual Property.

We invite you to submit abstracts on themes related to the symposium theme. Areas of particular interest may include the domestic and international law and policy of new media intellectual property, information flow and social movements, information technology, telecommunications, privacy, and mobile entertainment.

Please submit abstracts electronically to wlrsubmissions@law.whittier.edu no later than September 23, 2011. Selected presentations will be notified by October 3, 2011. Please provide a curriculum vitae and a cover letter along with an abstract submission. Submitted abstracts must be 500 words or less. Travel assistance funds will be available for participants without institutional support. Workshop papers will be strongly considered for publication in the Whittier Law Review’s symposium issue.
