CALL FOR PAPERS

NATIONAL SEMINAR ON “CENTRE-STATE RELATIONS UNDER INDIAN CONSTITUTION”
28th MARCH, 2020 (SATURDAY).

IPEM Law Academy Ghaziabad is organizing a National Seminar on “Centre-State Relations under Indian Constitution” 28th March, 2020 (Saturday) at its Campus. India adopted a Federal Constitution where the powers have been divided into the Centre and States which have been defined clearly under the Constitution. The Union Government has a large sphere of action and plays a dominant role as compared to the States. The Emergency provision provide a way of transforming the normal Federal fabric into an almost Unitary system, so as to meet national exigencies effectively. In certain circumstances the Union becomes competent to legislate even in the exclusive field of State. The process of amending the Constitution for that matter is not very rigid. There have been matters of dispute in the Courts of Law relating to relationship between Centre and States especially regarding of Legislatives, Administration and Financial powers.
In this Seminar, Papers have been invited to Review the Centre-State relation so as to make these more cordial and smooth.
