2nd International Workshop on Digital Technologies for Smart and Sustainable Buildings (DTSSB 2026)
Co-located with BIR 2026 Olten, Switzerland October 7, 2026 Workshop website: https://pros.unicam.it/dtssb/ Submission: https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bir2026 == About the workshop == Smart buildings are evolving into complex socio-technical systems where IoT infrastructures generate large volumes of data, enabling advanced approaches such as Digital Twins, Artificial Intelligence (AI), semantic modeling, and process mining. DTSSB 2026 aims to bring together researchers and practitioners to explore methods and technologies supporting the design, integration, and operation of smart and sustainable buildings, with a focus on decision-making, interoperability, and data-driven optimization. The workshop welcomes conceptual, technical, application-oriented, and case-study contributions related to digital technologies for smart and sustainable buildings. == Topics == Topics include, but are not limited to: - Digital Twins and IoT for Smart Buildings - Process mining and analysis of IoT data - Semantic models, ontologies, and knowledge graphs - Hybrid and explainable AI - Interoperability between BIM, IoT, and Digital Twins - Energy efficiency and building optimization - Data analytics and decision support for Smart Buildings - Smart Building information systems and architectures - Facility management and building operation optimization - Case studies and industrial applications == Important dates == Paper submission: July 30, 2026 Notification: August 30, 2026 Workshop date: October 7, 2026 Camera-ready submission: October 30, 2026 All dates are AoE. == Submission guidelines == Submissions must be original and not published or submitted for publication elsewhere. Papers must be written in English. The workshop welcomes the submission of regular papers and short papers: - Regular papers: 11-15 pages - Short papers: 6-10 pages Submissions must be made via EasyChair, using the workshop track: "2nd International Workshop on Digital Technologies for Smart and Sustainable Buildings" https://easychair.org/conferences/?conf=bir2026 == Publication == Accepted papers will appear in CEUR-WS proceedings.
