Call For Papers

This international conference on spirituality, religion, and society will gather scholars, professionals, policymakers, and others interested in the theme and is open to any and all gender, religion, race, and beliefs, as our diversity in perspective is what helps broaden our knowledge, understanding, and actions on the subject at hand.
On the one hand, some people may see the term “spiritual but not religious” as indecisive and devoid of substance. Others embrace it as an accurate way to describe themselves. What is beyond dispute, however, is that a growing share of people seeks lesser to the aids provided by religions in building their daily lives, while the majority still entrust their life choices, families, duties, or even health to the grasp of the religious leaders and their dogma, regardless of the conflict raised with reason, social rules, or personal desires.
On the other hand, the term 'religion' has nowadays more meanings than we were used to, being used not only for theistic beliefs but even for total involvement in an activity, for some the term ‘Science’ is also used with the connotation of ‘religiousness’ – has it become a new ‘religion’ to follow blindly? Thus, newer definitions, updated to the actual uses, is required both for religion and spirituality. Also, with regard to S/R engagements into Society and vice-versa, we expect you to write any presentation bringing more light into this thread.
Spiritual, Religious, or Irreligious is nowadays different ways of assuming the position in Society to self-identify a life stance of spirituality. We strive to clear things up for all these choices with all aspects that are linked with spiritual/religious growth, placing an emphasis upon the well-being of the "mind-body-spirit". On the other hand, our today's society has a different engagement with regard to these choices as many domains modify or are altered by S/R. How, Why, and to What end - we summon you all to figure it out together.
