ST3. Platforms for Digital Heritage and Preservation

Overview

Threats to heritage come with the terrain of an increasingly turbulent world in the domains of war, economics and climate. At the same time increasing graphical and processing capabilities of and computers and mobile devices are increasing the capabilities and reach of digital heritage. Digital scenes represented through spherical media or 3D games environments virtual reality can be used to explore the past both on the move through modern Cityscapes and of providing high fidelity exhibition experiences. These scenes can provide context for digital representations of the artefacts that populated historic urban spaces and buildings. The scale of scenes that can be represented enable contrasts between seascape, cityscape and landscape of the past to be drawn.

Full papers accepted for Springer publication must not exceed of 14 pages.
Long papers accepted for publication at Online Proceedings must not exceed of 10-12 pages.
Short papers accepted for publication at Online Proceedings must not exceed of 6 – 8 pages.
