Call For Papers

Cognizance Online Journal of Philosophy
Summer 2012 (Inaugural Issue) - Call for Papers
Deadline: March 30th, 2012

Cognizance is an online journal created to showcase outstanding work in philosophy and promote undergraduate interest in philosophical topics. We are seeking submissions for our inaugural issue, to be released on June 1st, 2012. Please find the list of requirements and important dates below. Send all questions to cognizance.submissions@gmail.com.

Requirements:
1. Topic
a. Papers must be written on a philosophical topic.
b. Papers from all areas of philosophy are welcome.

2. Word Limit
a. Papers must be no more than 4000 words in length.
b. The ideal submission length is 2000 words.

3. Format
a. Only Chicago and MLA formats are acceptable.
b. A complete bibliography is required.

4. Cover Page
a. Attach (as a separate pdf) a cover page that includes your full name and an ID number. Include the ID number on the body of your submission.
b. Submissions will be reviewed blind. Please do not include your name anywhere on the body of the paper.

Important Dates:
• March 30th, 2012: Paper submissions are due.
• May 15th, 2012: Acceptance notifications are sent out.
• June 1st, 2012: Cognizance Online Journal of Philosophy launches.
