Call For Papers

Dear LM-SCM friend,

Now in its 24th year, and building on more than two decades of LM-SCM gatherings hosted across Türkiye’s leading universities, this edition is hosted for the first time by Piri Reis University — Türkiye’s first and only maritime-specialized university — on the shores of Istanbul’s Tuzla coast, in partnership with LODER (the Logistics Association of Turkey) and the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece. We hope you will join us on 15–16 October 2026 at Piri Reis University.

Joining us for the occasion will be an outstanding line-up of keynote speakers: Prof. (Dr.) Thomas SIM, President of FIATA, opens the congress with a frontline view of global trade disruption, alongside Prof. Dr. Hercules HARALAMBIDES, Dr. Okan TUNA, and Prof. Dr. Theodoros SYRIOPOULOS, bringing decades of combined expertise in maritime economics, shipping finance, and supply chain resilience.

The theme of LM-SCM 2026 is “Resilient and Adaptive Maritime Supply Chains in an Era of Global Disruptions.” Few sectors have been tested as hard as maritime supply chains in recent years — port congestion, geopolitical chokepoints, extreme weather, and rapid digitalization are all reshaping how goods move across the world. LM-SCM 2026 brings together researchers, practitioners, and policymakers to examine these pressures from every angle: resilience and risk, sustainability, digital transformation, and the everyday realities of keeping supply chains running under pressure. We welcome contributions across the full spectrum of logistics and supply chain management.

The congress will be held in hybrid format. All accepted abstracts — and full papers, where authors choose to submit them — will be included in the conference proceedings distributed to every participant. Beyond the proceedings, selected papers will have the opportunity to be published in LODER’s Lojistik Dergisi, indexed in TR Dizin, and, following the congress, extended versions of selected papers may be considered for a book published by Springer. Online presentation comes with a reduced registration fee, though we warmly encourage you to join us on-site to make the most of the networking opportunities and our social program.

Hope to meet you in Istanbul.
