The 3rd European DAO Workshop (DAWO26) will take place on 6/7 July 2026 in Winterthur, Switzerland and aims to explore the challenges and opportunities of Decentralized Autonomous Organizations (DAOs). The workshop invites contributions that examine the status of DAO advancements or report on experimental research into DAO design, fostering the dialogue between researchers and practitioners working on different topics in the context of DAOs.
Important Dates 15 Feb 2026: Abstract Submission 20 Feb 2026: Author Notification 15 Apr 2026: Full Paper Submission 15 May 2026: Final Acceptance Notification 31 May 2026: Camera-ready version Submission Types There are two types of submissions: (1) Abstract for full paper will give you the chance to have a full paper published in the workshop proceedings. (2) Abstracts-only will give you the opportunity to present new ideas at an early stage of a research project. Which type of contribution you submit depends on what you are hoping to get out of the DAO workshop. At least one author of each accepted submission must attend DAWO26 to deliver a presentation. DAWO26 is calling for submissions related to DAOs from a wide range of research methodologies such as ethnography, design research, participatory action research, data analysis, case studies, or artistic practices - that investigate DAOs as sociotechnical or cultural systems. Authors are invited to submit original, previously unpublished work that is not currently being reviewed by another conference, workshop, or journal. Submission Instructions There is no specific format required for the Abstract submission. Abstracts are not subject to an anonymized peer-review process. The conference committee will make a selection considering quality of the research but also factors such as the diversity of speakers and topics. • Abstract for full paper submissions should not exceed 500 words and be based on completed research. • Abstracts-only submissions should not exceed 500 words and are based on intended research. Full Papers will be open access published in the Springer Proceedings in Business and Economics. Full papers submissions include 8-14 pages, excluding references and appendices, and must use the Springer templates provided (Word or LaTex). Only submission with their source file (Word / LaTex) and PDF file will be accepted for the review process. DAWO26 uses a double-blind review process for full papers; author names and affiliations should not appear in the submission and authors should make a reasonable effort not to reveal their identities or institutional affiliation. Please submit all manuscripts (abstracts & full papers) through the EasyChair portal. Conflict of Interest Authors and DAWO committee members are required to indicate any possible conflict of interest. Potential conflicts of interest include: • Advisor-advisee relationships, at any time, • professional collaborations and relationships, • co-authorship within the past 5 years, • current institutional conflicts, • or close personal relationships. |
