Introduction

Artificial intelligence is reshaping the foundations of economic value creation, capital allocation, risk, and exchange. The convergence of frontier AI, autonomous agents, advanced computing, and decentralized infrastructure is giving rise to a new paradigm: the Intelligence Economy.

Autonomous AI agents, machine-native commerce, and intelligent financial systems are transforming how markets operate and capital is deployed. Meanwhile, the convergence of computational infrastructure and energy is creating new economic frontiers, while advances in cryptographic trust and space-based infrastructure are expanding the boundaries of finance and investment beyond Earth.

Insurance is evolving alongside these transformations, as intelligent risk engineering creates new approaches to underwriting, risk allocation, and risk transfer—and entirely new categories of insurable assets and exposures.

The Finance and Insurance in the Intelligence Era (FINI) session explores this emerging paradigm, seeking visionary research that moves beyond applying AI to existing financial systems toward reimagining the foundations of finance, insurance, and economic coordination.

FINI brings together researchers and innovators to advance the theories, technologies, and institutional frameworks of an increasingly intelligent, autonomous, interconnected, and ultimately multi-planetary economy.
