The EAI Endorsed Transactions on Creative Technologies invites submissions to a special issue intended to explore, understand and capture definitions of Creative Technologies.
The popularity of Creative Technologies in academia has increased over the last number of years, but it has been interpreted in many ways. Such diversity is both a strength and a weakness, with fluid definitions of what is (and what is not) Creative Technologies allowing the field to evolve over time. However, it is also possible that the fluidity of definition leads to a lack of understanding when viewed from the established disciplinary perspectives. The aim of the special issue is not to attempt to come up with a singular definition, nor really to identify common aspects, but to celebrate the diversity of what we do and stimulate sharing of ideas within the Creative Technologies community. Topics for submission include, but are not limited to: Definitions of Creative Technologies Models of education for Creative Technologies Research themes in Creative Technologies Reflections on successful and unsuccessful projects in education and research Submissions are invited from authors from all disciplines and research areas. The journal is an open access journal, with no article submissions charges. Articles are stored in the European Union Digital Library (https://eudl.eu) and published under a Creative Commons Attribution licence. Authors will be asked to participate in the peer-review of articles submitted to the special issue. |
