2021 Asian Symposium on Biorobotics (ASB 2021)

2021 Asian Symposium on Biorobotics (ASB 2021) will be hosted in Qingdao, China from May 28 to 30, 2021, which is in conjunction with 2021 Asian Conference on Mechanisms and Robotics (ACMR 2021). ASB 2021 is co-organized by Shandong University of Science and Technology and Hong Kong Society of Mechanical Engineers(HKSME), sponsored by York University. We warmly welcome prospective authors to submit your research papers to ASB 2021, and share your latest research results and valuable experiences with other top-scientists, engineers and scholars from all over the world.
●Publication and Indexing
1. All submissions will be peer reviewed, and all the accepted papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings, which will be submitted to Engineering Village, Scopus, Thomson Reuters (WoS) and other databases for review and indexing.
2. Sepcial Issue on Advanced Computational Intelligence Methods for Processing Brain Imaging Data, which will be published in Frontiers in Neuroscience (Brain Imaging Methods),index by SCOPUS, SCIE and other databases
3. Special Issue on Emotion Recognition Using Brain-Computer Interfaces and Advanced Artificial Intelligence, which will be published in Frontiers in Psychology (Emotion Science), indexed by SCOPUS, SSCI and other databases.
1. Dr. Dan Zhang, York University, Canada
Dr. Dan Zhang is a Kaneff Professor and Tier 1 York Research Chair in Advanced Robotics and Mechatronics, as well as the Chair of the Department of Mechanical Engineering at York University. Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Engineering (CAE), ASME Fellow, CSME Fellow. Dr. Zhang's research interests include robotics and mechatronics; high performance parallel robotic machine development; sustainable/green manufacturing systems; rehabilitation robot and rescue robot.
2. Prof. Haoyong Yu, National University of Singapore, Singapore
He received the Ph.D. degree in Mechanical Engineering from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Cambridge, Massachusetts, USA, in 2002. He was a Principal Member of Technical Staff at DSO National Laboratories, Singapore, until 2010. His research areas in DSO included exoskeleton and humanoid robots, intelligent ground and aerial robots, and bio-inspired robots. Dr. Yu joined the Department of Biomedical Engineering in 2010. He is also a Principal Investigator of the Singapore Institute of Neurotechnology (SINAPSE), and the Advanced Robotic Centre at the National University of Singapore.
3. Prof. Li Wen, Beihang University, China
Associate chief editor of Soft Robotics (the only Chinese associate chief editor), editorial board member of Bioinspiration Biomimetics, IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters, Youth Editorial Board member of Robotics, winner of National Science Outstanding Youth Science Foundation. His research interests include biomimetic robots, soft robots, machine learning and robot control and focuses on the integration of mechanics, new materials, robot control, machine learning soft robot related research, to build efficient and safe interaction with human and nature of bionic and software machine technology.
4. Prof. Fumin Zhang, Georgia Institute of Technology, USA
Prof. Fumin Zhang is Professor in the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology. He is serving as the co-chair for the IEEE RAS Technical Committee on Marine Robotics and is the associate editor for IEEE Journal of Oceanic Engineering, Robotics and Automation Letters, IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, and IEEE Transactions on Control of Networked Systems. He recent research interests include the design and control of marine robots, mobile sensor networks, human aware control and planning, and cyber-physical systems theory.
Dr. Chin-Hsing Kuo, University of Wollongong, Australia
He is currently the Associate Editor of ASME Journal of Mechanisms and Robotics and of IEEE Robotics and Automation Letters and the Topic Editor of Mechanical Sciences. He is an Elected Member of ASME Mechanisms and Robotics Committee, a member and Deputy Chair of IFToMM Technical Committee for Linkages and Mechanical Controls, and a member of IFToMM Technical Committee for Computational Kinematics.His research interest is in kinematics, dynamics, and design of machines and robotic mechanical systems with a focus on mechanism synthesis, theoretical and computational kinematics, force balancing, reconfiguration mechanisms, and in particular their applications to the design problems where the motion and force of a machine or robotic system are to be jointly synthesised.
