From 10th to 11th of April 2020 will be held “ICD Conference 2020” organized by Department of Communication and Social Research in Sapienza University of Rome.
This International Conference will be organized in collaboration with Richtmann Publishing with the patronage of European Commission, Italian Agency for Development Cooperation, UNIDO and Comune di Roma. The international cooperation and development sector has changed in the last decades, with a series of paradigm shifts. It has been possible develop connections between aid sector and agents non-conventionally connected with development. Also the actors involved have changed, with a wider involvement of the private sector and universities. ICD 2020 Conference will be the place to meet these actors, a part from being a good networking and internationalization opportunity for Researchers and Universities. The challenges call for investigations on how International cooperation, human activities, sustainable development and global environmental changes affect human well-being, economic, social and cultural systems in our societies. People are expecting concerned and concerted response from science, politicians and civil society. These responses should draw concrete pictures of potential global, local and regional futures and ways to shape these futures for the benefit and well-being of people: those exposed to the multiple challenges for any country. In this context, the rationale of the conference is to bring together scientists and stakeholders from various connecting fields to address multiple impacts of various challenges to societies and to contributing to discussing and drafting practical solutions in form of mitigation and adaptation strategies in global, local and regional planning and development policies anywhere on the globe.
