Welcome to COMSA 2019

Welcome to the 6th Conference on Management and Sustainability in Asia (COMSA 2019) to be held in Hiroshima, Japan on Friday and Saturday, December 20-21, 2019 at the Hiroshima Bunka Koryu Kaikan in Hiroshima. COMSA 2019 is being jointly held alongside the 6th Conference on Sustainable Tourism in Asia (COSTA 2019).

The 6th Conference on Management and Sustainability in Asia is an annual, international, peer-reviewed event that has been held every year in Hiroshima. This year’s event will coincide with the end of autumn and start of winter in Japan, which is actually an ideal time of the year for visiting Hiroshima. All attending participants will have an opportunity for travel around Hiroshima, including its two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Peace Park and the Shrine Island of Miyajima (Itsukushima).

Please note that the number of oral and poster time slots is limited. The organizers will close submissions and registration when the event has reached its capacity.

About COMSA 2019

Our theme for COMSA 2019 is Emerging Issues in Asia. There has never been a more challenging time in management and sustainability as we enter into a period of great uncertainty and change. Partnered with our conference sustainable tourism, COMSA 2019 will bring together academics, researchers, practitioners, business professionals and students engaged in management education and the academic world to exchange the latest ideas, and share new research. Today’s rapidly globalizing world has spawned dynamic changes from rising affluence and urban migration to heavy demands put on our finite resources and the environment. The breakneck pace of development and consumption of modern society is an unsustainable course that threatens our ecosystem and future.

Thus, we are pleased to hold this event once again in Japan’s City of Peace: Hiroshima. We sincerely hope that all attending participants will have time to enjoy seeing the sites around Hiroshima to visit the two UNESCO World Heritage Sites of Hiroshima: Peace Park and Miyajima (the shrine island). Truly, Hiroshima serves as an ideal venue for participants from different beliefs, cultures, social and economic backgrounds to gather peacefully to share in the awe and wonder of this amazing city.

We welcome proposals of 250 words in English by Friday, October 4, 2019.
