SNAHP 2019 Welcome

On behalf of the Organizing Committee for the 5th Pacific Symposium for Nursing and Healthcare Professionals we welcome you to join us in Hiroshima, Japan on Saturday and Sunday, August 31 to September 1, 2019. This small symposium is held each year in Hiroshima, Japan provides a unique platform for nurses and allied health professionals to promote innovation in nursing education and clinical practice, research and universal access to healthcare.

All attending participants will have an opportunity for travel around Hiroshima, including its two UNESCO World Heritage Sites: Peace Park and the Shrine Island of Miyajima (Itsukushima).

Please note that the number of oral and poster time slots is limited. The organizers will close submissions and registration when the event has reached its capacity.

About SNAHP 2019

SNAHP is convened in affiliation with the Institute of Medicine at Suranaree University of Technology, Thailand and its Parasitic Disease Research Center.

The purpose of SNAHP 2019 is twofold: Firstly, this event is to serve as an international platform for presenting innovative research in interdisciplinary fields of nursing and professional health. Secondly, and more importantly, is to highlight the need for more nurses, healthcare professionals, administrators, researchers, policy makers and others who under immense strain due to the critical shortage of qualified healthcare personnel throughout Asia.

The healthcare industry is challenged by an increase in both regional and global population, coupled with rapidly growing aging societies around Asia. Moreover, the accessibility to quality healthcare between rich urban areas and relative inaccessibility or reduced quality for poor rural communities is yet another dilemma. Despite advances in medical technology, workforce shortages, increasing costs, local and global geopolitical issues all add to the daunting challenges facing the healthcare industry today. SNAHP 2019 will address theses emerging challenges and more. We welcome nursing practitioners, allied health professionals and allied health assistants from all sectors, public and private health, education, community and non-government services, research as well as not-for-profit and non-government agencies, humanitarian aid workers and students to submit abstracts and attend. The theme for SNAHP 2019 is Pursuing Health Equity.
We welcome submissions of 250 words in English by Friday, July 12, 2019 on the following streams:
