Call For Papers



The SWIM Workshop invites researchers, engineers, service developers to present their research and works in the field of Semantic Information Management. Papers may deal with methods, models, case studies, practical experiences and technologies.


Submission Instructions

Authors are invited to submit original manuscripts, neither submitted nor accepted for publication in any other workshop, conference, or journal. They must be written in English, with no more than 12 pages (i.e. it must be formatted according to the information for Springer_LNCS authors). Please see the LNCS policies for further information. Every submitted paper will be carefully reviewed by at least three members of the Program Committee and reviews will be returned to the author(s) with comments to ensure the high quality of the accepted papers. Reviewers are not required to read the appendices and the paper should be intelligible without them.

Authors are invited to send their manuscripts through the EasyChair system. In case of any inquires, please do not hesitate to contact program committee chairs: dvr@dia.uniroma3.it.


Publishing of accepted works

The Workshop proceedings will be published by Springer-Verlag as an LNCS volume.. Submission to the Workshop implies the willingness to subscribe and participate to the event for presenting the submitted work (i.e. attendance of at least one of the authors of accepted papers will be mandatory). Final versions of accepted papers must strictly adhere to the LNCS guidelines and must include a printable file of the camera-ready version, as well as all source files thereof. No changes to such formatting rules are permitted. Authors of accepted papers must also download and sign a copyright form that will be made available on the Web site of the conference.

Depending on the quality of the submissions, authors of selected papers may be invited to submit extended versions for publication in prestigious international journals.
