15th Brazilian Power Electronics Conference joint with the 5th IEEE Southern Power Electronics Conference
December 1 to 4, 2019 in the city of Santos, Brazil. The joint conference SPEC & COBEP 2019 is the most important forum for researchers in Power Electronics in the Southern Hemisphere. It offers an ideal opportunity for researchers, engineers, academics and students from all over the world to bring the latest technological advances and applications in Power Electronics to the Southern Hemisphere, as well as to network and promote the discipline, strengthening the relationship between industry, academia and professionals. Cutting edge researchers will present Plenary speeches during a four day program that also features tutorials and technical sessions on theory, analysis, design, testing and advances within the field of power electronics. Topics of interest include but are not limited to: •Power converter topologies and design •Electrical machines, motor drives and motion control •Modeling, simulation and control in power electronics •Power quality, harmonics and reactive power compensation •EMC and EMI •Power electronics in renewable energy systems •Power electronics in smart grid and utility applications •Power semiconductor devices, packaging, magnetic materials and passive components •Power electronics in lighting applications •Automotive, aerospace and transportation applications of power electronics •Industrial, commercial and residential applications of power electronics •Education and special topics Scholarships will be offered for students. The conference proceedings will be submitted to the IEEE Xplore® digital library.
