This event is designed to showcase cutting edge research and accomplishments, and to enrich the educational experience in these fields. The purpose of this meeting is to advance the understanding of the base of knowledge that we will collectively draw upon in the years ahead to meet the challenges and realize opportunities.

Technical Conferences
Technical papers shall be presented in the following conferences:

* 36th Design Automation Conference (DAC)
* 34th Annual Mechanisms and Robotics Conference (MR)
* 30th Computers and Information in Engineering Conference (CIE)
* 22nd International Conference on Design Theory and Methodology (DTM)
* 15th Design for Manufacturing and the Lifecycle Conference (DFMLC)
* 12th International Conference on Advanced Vehicle and Tire Technologies (AVTT)
* 7th Symposium on International Design and Design Education (DEC)
* 4th International Conference on Micro- and Nanosystems (MNS)
* Special Conference on Mechanical Vibration and Noise (VIB)

For more information, view the technical conferences descriptions.

Paper Submission
Technical papers and presentations on various topics of engineering design are solicited for the conference. Please refer to the individual call for papers for each conference and contact the respective conference chairs for inquiries about the conference. The conference will include plenary sessions, keynote lectures, and tutorials on topics related to engineering design. Industry participation is particularly welcome; indeed, we hope the conference will provide opportunities for fruitful communication between the research and industrial communities.

Authors should submit an abstract and draft paper through the IDETC/CIE 2010 website. For assistance with submitting your abstract online, please view the author help manual.

All papers are expected to follow ASME editorial standards. All papers will be published in conference proceedings on CD-ROM available at the meeting.

Publication Schedule
If you are planning to submit an abstract and draft paper for consideration, please note the IDETC/CIE 2010 publication schedule. Upon successful online submission, you will receive a confirmation and an assigned paper number. Late submissions may not be accepted.

For more information, view the full publication schedule. The paper submission deadlines are firm deadlines and cannot be changed.
