Call For Papers

In recent years, people’s lives all over the world have been shaped and empowered by the massive increase in the use of mobile applications. The number and versatility of available mobile applications continue to grow, accommodated by app stores and marketplaces that enable users to download and seamlessly install applications. Mobile platforms are rapidly evolving to continuously integrate diverse and powerful capabilities, including various sensors, cameras, wireless communication channels, as well as on-device memory and disk capacities.

As a result of ingeniously applying these technological developments, developers of mobile software are pushing the boundaries with innovative mobile services and exciting mobile applications. Consequently, due to the rapid development and evolution of mobile software, developers face new software engineering challenges. To address these challenges, researchers must create formally grounded methods that support novel advanced practices and tools.

MOBILESoft provides a premier working conference-style forum for discussing and presenting innovative contributions to the research and practice of the design, development, validation, execution, and evolution of mobile applications.

MOBILESoft will feature technical research paper sessions, a visions track, a tool
demo and application mobile track, and a student research competition (SRC).

The deadline about the first three tracks is on February 4, while about the SRC the deadline is on February, 12.

We solicit contributions related to mobile software engineering, including but not limited to the following topics:
– Development environments and tools
– Testing, maintenance, verification, and evolution
– Patterns, frameworks, and product lines
– Refactoring, restructuring, and renovation
– Program transformation and optimization
– Empirical studies and metrics
– User experience and new input devices
– Hybrid versus native applications
– Agile or model-driven development
– Application and system security
– Mobile Cloud Computing
– Static and dynamic analysis
– Debugging techniques and tools
– Programming languages
– Mobile programming and software engineering education and training
– The role of mobile in the context of the Internet of Things
– Mobile apps connected to wearable devices
– Industrial experience reports
