Mechanical Engineering Call for Papers: Special Collection on Evolutionary Multi-objective Optimization for Solving Complex Engineering Problems To have your paper included, submit by December 31, 2018 Submit your paper. Evolutionary multi-objective optimization (EMO) has rapidly grown as a popular and useful field of computational intelligence research. Evolutionary optimization algorithms use a population-based approach in which more than one solution participates in an iteration and evolves a new population of solutions in each iteration. During the last ten years, evolutionary multi-objective optimization algorithms such as Non-dominated Sorting Genetic Algorithm II (NSGAII), Grid-Based Evolutionary Algorithm (GrEA), Hypervolume Estimation Algorithm for multi-objective optimization (HyEA), Strength Pareto Evolutionary Algorithm 2 (SPEA2) and multi-objective particle swarm optimization (MOPSO), have been used successfully to solve various well-known academic and real-world engineering problems in several application domains. Examples include manufacturing processes, space planning, scheduling, assembly line balancing and transmission. This Special Collection aims to group cutting-edge research in all aspects of evolutionary multi-objective optimization and complex engineering problems, including experimental and theoretical research and real-world applications.
