Food Quality and Safety is an open access, international, peer-reviewed journal providing a platform to highlight emerging and innovative science and technology in the agro-food field, publishing up-to-date research in the areas of food quality and safety, food nutrition and human health. It promotes food and health equity which will consequently promote public health and combat diseases.

Peer Review
Peer review remains a vital component of our assessment of submitted articles. We will manage the review process through an effective and active editorial office. To distinguish FQS from other journals, we will provide a rapid review response to our authors. In particular, we want the time from first manuscript submission to acceptance to be as fast as possible. Our Editorial Board, made up of experienced, energetic, and promising scholars, will provide careful, detailed and helpful reviews of manuscripts.

We encourage you to submit your best research work to FQS. We would like to publish original research results providing intelligent solutions. Authors must include benchmarking against the best publicly available results in their manuscripts. Benchmarking results are good indicators of the quality of a manuscript, and the presence of benchmarking results will be one of the main criteria that our reviewers will consider before deciding if a manuscript is worth publishing or not.

Since the journal is published by a leading publisher, Oxford University Press, rapid online publication of FQS articles will allow accepted articles to be available to the research community as early as possible. We will also have special issues by prominent scientists. We are looking forward to receiving your submissions, and welcome your ideas and comments for FQS.
