BackGround

Medical Image Analysis and Clinical Applications (MIACA) is an expanding multi-disciplinary area in which significant advances are currently being made. It is an area notable for the range of research communities involved, from young researcher to established clinician or scientist, from blue-sky research to practical application, and from university, hospital and commercial R&D.

The main aims of MIACA 2010 is to provide an inter-disciplinary forum for scientific researchers, academicians, engineers, university faculties, staffs and students working in the exciting and dynamic areas of medical image, signal and their clinical applications, to discuss state-of-the-art technologies and to present new research findings and perspectives of future developments with respect to the conference themes. By highlighting past and current successes in the transfer of medical image and signal analysis systems to clinical practice and identify clinical needs of the future, and encouraging discussion of industrial opportunities and the challenges they raise, MIACA 2010 will also offer the opportunity to fill the gap between academic researchers, practitioners and industrial parts.

MIACA 2010 invites scientists from various research fields. Eminent speakers from various nations will also be invited to present key lectures. It is hoped that the conference will also facilitate the building of networks to promote cooperative relations and collaborative work in this exciting and expanding field.
