III SELECTION AND PUBLICATION OF THE WORKS

The direction of the Expanded Reason Awards will decide the publication of the works. The articles will be selected by a rigorous anonymous peer review process to ensure their originality, relevance and adequacy to the objectives of the call for papers.

The selected proposals will be published on the Digital Deposit area of the Expanded Reason Awards website to allow the exchange of opinions with other researchers.

IV CONTEXT

In the context of research focused on going beyond the pragmatism and scientism that guides our society in general, and the academic world in particular—a reality that prevents the integrating knowledge and broader understanding of reality that encompasses the objects of study in an orderly manner—the Expanded Reason Community opens this Call for Papers to serve as a forum for the exchange of ideas and to promote a dialogue that seeks to answer those questions that arise when scientific rationality can´t fully respond to reality.

We are conscious of the need for a dialogue that starts from the sciences and reaches towards Philosophy and/or Theology, a dialogue which may allow us to extricate ourselves from a self-referential sense of reason that has become independent of the roots that give it meaning.

Researchers are called to submit works that seek to promote university answers to these questions: anthropological, epistemological, ethical and meaning. They are, at least, the questions that allow us to seek the knowledge of the ultimate truth.

The selection of scientific, theoretical and empirical works, as well as teaching works that preferably include innovations in the teaching of subjects based on the four questions, will be published on our website and will become part of a monograph to be published around January 2019.
