Software Engineering for Cloud-based Internet of Things – SE for Cloud IOTs 2018
(www.se-cloud.scitevents.org/Workshops.aspx#SEforCloudIOTs) 26 - 28 July, 2018 - Porto, Portugal In conjunction with the 1st International Conference on Software Engineering for Service and Cloud Computing - SE-CLOUD 2018 (www.se-cloud.scitevents.org/Home.aspx) 1. Scope of the Workshop Internet of Things (IoTs) have emerged as a disruptive technology and an enabling platform to interconnect humans, systems, services, devices and thing. To support the IoTs vision; a number of challenges exist in terms of engineering and development of systems that rely on software, platform, and infrastructure level support (offered by cloud computing) to develop, evolve and operate IoT solutions. Engineering the cloud-based software services can support a seamless integration between the hardware, software, and networking technologies to enable an internet of portable and context-aware devices and things. The scope of the proposed workshop (SE for Cloud IoTs) is to consolidate the research and development efforts that exploit Software Engineering principle and practices to address the challenges of Cloud-based IoTs. 2. Topics of Interests The topics of interest includes (but not limited) to the following. In particular, the call for workshop papers aims to attract academic or industrial research studies that focus on addressing the software engineering aspects of the cloud-based IoT systems with focus on the following. The topics of interest include but not limited to: Empirical Studies on Cloud-based IoT Systems - Survey based studies, systematic reviews and mapping studies - Industrial findings and experience reports - Validation and evaluation research - Systematic mapping studies or systematic literature reviews - Empirical studies and metrics Process, Patterns and Frameworks for Cloud-based IoT Systems - Reference architectures - Architectural patterns and styles - Process and frameworks - Frameworks, and product line Tools and Technologies for Cloud-based IoT System - Prototypes and Tool Support - Mobile Cloud Computing based IoT - Development Environments, Frameworks and Tools - Programming Languages and Frameworks - Service-oriented and Cloud-based Architectures - Infrastructure, Platform and Software for IoT - Mobile Cloud Computing for IoT Cloud-based IoT for Smart City Systems - Urban services - Smart Healthcare, Education and Communication - Smart buildings and infrastructure based on Cloud IoT - Cloud computing and IoTs in the context of Smart Cities - Cloud computing and IoT for traffic management 3. PAPER SUBMISSION Prospective authors are invited to submit papers in any of the topics listed above. Instructions for preparing the manuscript (in Word and Latex formats) are available at: Paper Templates - http://www.se-cloud.scitevents.org/Templates.aspx Please also check the Guidelines - http://www.se-cloud.scitevents.org/Guidelines.aspx Papers must be submitted electronically via the web-based submission system using the ‘SUBMIT PAPER’ button on the workshop page. 4.
