Call For Papers

Prospective authors are invited to submit high quality papers reporting results on activities related to cloud computing, which is envisioned to change the IT landscape, is consumer/delivery model where IT capabilities are offered as services billed based on usage. Cloud computing technology has been widely applied, in areas such as manufacturers, health-care, intelligent transportation systems, e-government, and finance industry. Examples of cloud services include, but are not limited to, IaaS (Infrastructure-as-a-Service), PaaS (Platform-as-a-Service) and SaaS (Software-as-a-Service).
The underlying cloud architecture includes a pool of virtualized computing, storage and networking resources that can be aggregated and launched as platforms to run workloads and satisfy their Service-Level Agreement (SLA). Cloud architectures also deliver provisions to best guarantee service delivery for clients and at the same time to optimise the resources efficiency of providers. Examples of provisions include, but are not limited to, elasticity through up/down scaling of resources to track workload behaviour, extensive monitoring, failure mitigation, and energy optimizations.
The two main technologies enabling clouds are: (i) Virtualization, the foundation of clouds; and (ii) manageability (autonomics), the command and control of clouds. CloudComp 2018 is intended to bring together researchers, developers, and industry professionals to discuss recent advances and experiences in clouds, cloud computing and related ecosystems and business support. The conference also aims at presenting the recent advances, experiences and results obtained in the wider area of cloud computing, giving users and researchers equally a chance to gain better insight into the capabilities and limitations of current cloud systems.
Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following
Big Data Computing on Clouds
Cloud-enabled Manufacturing System
Cloud-enabled Wireless Body Area Networks
Cloud-enabled Internet of Vehicles
Administration and Manageability
Distributed and Parallel Query Processing
Distributed and Cloud Networking
E-government systems

All registered papers will be published in the CloudComp Conference Proceedings and submitted for publication by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes of ICST (LNICST). The proceedings will be available both in book form and via the SpringerLink digital library, which is one of the largest digital libraries online and covers a variety of scientific disciplines.
CloudComp proceedings are indexed in leading indexing services, including Ei Compendex, ISI Web of Science, Scopus, CrossRef, Google Scholar, DBLP, as well as EAI’s own EU Digital Library (EUDL).
Authors of selected best accepted and presented papers will be invited to submit an extended version to EAI Endorsed Transactions on Cloud Systems
