Since 2002, the Association of Korean Economic Studies (AKES) has held a series of annual International conferences with the broad theme of "Korea and the World Economy" at home and abroad. At each conference of the "Korea and the World Economy" series, about 60 papers on various issues related to Korea and the world economy were presented and discussed among economists, policy-makers, and practitioners.
On June 25-26, 2018, AKES will hold the 17th “Korea and the World Economy: International Conference on Challenges and New Approaches for Aging Society” at Ara Convention Hall, Jeju National University, Jeju Island, South Korea. The aim of the conference is to examine the current global phenomena from a macro perspective, and to cooperate with foreign scholars to explore economic diagnoses and solutions for these issues. We invite you to join us at our upcoming conference. Both theoretical and empirical papers are welcome.
