14th Global Chinese Conference on Computers in Education
http://www.gccce2010.org/ June 1-4, 2010 Nanyang Technological University, Singapore The Global Chinese on Computers in Education (GCCCE) is an annual international conference that has been held respectively in Guangzhou, Hong Kong, Macau, Singapore, Chung-Li, Beijing, Nanjing, Hawaii, Michigan and Taipei over the past 13 years. It has now been recognized as a major conference for researchers and educators around the globe who are interested in InfoComm Technology (ICT) in Education in the (but not restricted to) Chinese communities. The bilingual (Chinese and English) conference intends to provide a critical opportunity for researchers and educators around the world to discuss and share ideas over the application of employing ICT in teaching and learning in order to enhance the quality of education from learning individuals to the public, within and out of the classroom. In view of the vision of the IT Masterplan 3 of the Ministry of Education, Singapore, and the current trend of learning sciences and technologies, we set the conference theme to be: "Towards a New Era of Knowledge Creation". The conference theme signifies the GCCCE community's renewed interest in further exploring the ICT as a "learning partner" to facilitate or enhance our young and adult learners' self-directed learning, collaborative learning, and ultimately, knowledge building. The GCCCE conference consists of nine Special Interest Group (SIG) Sub-conferences as follows. # Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning # Digital Game and Intelligent Toy Enhanced Learning & Society # Chinese e-Learning # Computer Supported Collaborative Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Education # Construction of Innovative Learning Environment and Design of Educational Software # Digitalized Assessment and Evaluation # Digital Learning and Human Resource Development # K-12 Teachers' Forum # Doctoral Forum Please visit the following URL to access to the Call for Papers of individual sub-conferences, http://www.gccce2010.org/submission_guide.html Apart from being included on the conference proceedings in CD-ROM form, selected papers pertaining to Chinese Language learning (regardless of which sub-conference they are submitted to) will be invited to be published on either Journal of Chinese Language Education or a scholarly book of the stated theme (as one of the book series published by Singapore Centre for Chinese Language). ** Important dates: 2009.10.14 Call for Papers released 2009.11.9 Paper Submission System opens 2009.12.27 Paper submission deadline (except K-12 Teachers Forum, Doctoral Forum) 2010.1.10 Paper submission deadline (K-12 Teachers Forum, Doctoral Forum, tutorial proposal) 2010.3.2 Notification of acceptance; Conference registration opens 2010.4.30 Registration deadline 2010.6.1-4 conference dates ** Submissions: Full Paper: 8 pages Short paper: 4 pages Poster: 2 pages ** Organisation: General Chairs: Looi Chee Kit, National Institute of Education, Singapore Chan Tak-Wai, National Central University, Taiwan Main Program Coordination Chairs: Wang Qiyun, National Institute of Education, Singapore Kong Siu-Cheung, Hong Kong Institute of Education, Hong Kong Sub-Conference Executive Chairs: # Mobile and Ubiquitous Learning: Yu Shengquan, Beijing Normal University, China # Digital Game and Intelligent Toy Enhanced Learning & Society: Chen Ming-puu, National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan # Chinese e-Learning: Wong Lung Hsiang, National Institute of Education, Singapore # Computer Supported Collaborative Learning and Artificial Intelligence in Education: Zhang Jianping, Zhejiang University, China # Construction of Innovative Learning Environment and Design of Educational Software: Chen Jiangang, Tsinghua University, China # Digitalized Assessment and Evaluation: Tseng Shian-Shyong, National Chiao Tung University, Taiwan # Digital learning and Human Resource Development: Chang Chi-Cheng, National Taiwan Normal University, Taiwan # K-12 Teachers' Forum: Kwok Lam-For, University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong # Doctoral Forum: Chai Ching-Sing, National Institute of Education, Singapore Local Organising Chairs: Wong Lung Hsiang, National Institute of Education, Singapore Chin Chee Kuen, Singapore Centre for Chinese Language, Singapore |
