Special Issue on Cyber-Physical and Embedded System Design, IEEE International Conference on Consumer Electronics – Taiwan, 2018.
Due to the progress in technology, our everyday living becomes more and more convenient. With the diversification in application requirements, system design does not focus on only the computation elements, and the construction of a system needs to collaborate multiple computational elements controlling physical entities. As a result, the concept of cyber-physical system (CPS) recently becomes more and more important. However, CPS also faces many new challenges, especially in communication efficiency, system performance, resource management, and design adaptability. To support varying CPS applications, novel hardware/software architecture design, complete modeling and analysis, efficient resource management techniques, and adaptive and predictive policies thus become more and more important. Related investigators are invited to contribute original research articles that contribute to reconfigurable cyber-physical and embedded system designs. We are particularly interested in articles describing emerging system architectures, including communication infrastructures, hardware/software co-design, adaptive and predictive techniques. Potential topics include, but not limited to: • Application-Specific Architecture Design • Networked and Distributed Architecture • Specification, Modeling, and Analysis • Adaptive and Predictive mechanism • Resource Management • Cyber Security |
