Wifinterfaces 2010

The WIF (Webdesign International Festival) is an international event aimed at interface and digital content designers. Supported by the Limousin Region, Europe, the city of Limoges and private partners (Apple, Orange Labs, Adobe, CIOL India, Digg, Dailymotion…), the WIF drew record audience of more than 800 participants from 40 countries in 2008. The 4th edition of WIF will take place on the 3rd, 4th and 5th June, 2010 in Limoges, France. Participants will have the opportunity to attend the International Congress of interface design and digital content proposing conferences and workshops on rich user interfaces, sensory design, web 3, domotic interfaces, web accessibility, etc.
Website: http://www.webdesign-festival.com/

The Wifinterfaces session is the place where scientific researchers and WIF participants (creative artists, designers, …) will have the chance to exchange and debate around public presentations of innovative tools for digital creation. This session is open to research labs as well as commercial products publishers, presenting prototypes, autonomous software or integrated plugins. It represents a unique opportunity to have your software tested by a community of creative users, eager to discover new possibilities.

These presentations will focus on different areas, including but not limited to the following topics:
Intelligent graphical user interfaces
Interfaces and systems for artistic applications
Immersive and 3D environments
Interactive visualization
Innovative technologies for detection and display
Touch-sensitive and/or haptic interfaces
Innovative interactions (embedded sensors, kinematic interaction)
Multi-users interfaces
Human-agents interactions

A selection committee will be set up to define the scientific orientation of the session, in agreement with the objectives proposed above, and to organize the selection of proposed projects.

To apply to Wifinterfaces, please send an e-mail to benoit.crespin@xlim.fr with a short proposition that will include links to the project website, screenshots, videos, etc.
