Topic
The relation between autobiographical memory and the self has intrigued researchers for decades. This complex relationship has been studied from an abundance of perspectives, including philosophical, social, neural, developmental, cultural and clinical perspectives. There is strong evidence that our current sense of self, our goals and attitudes, affect how we remember and construct our personal past, and that our personal memories help us to maintain a positive sense of self. Yet, many questions are left unresolved. We believe that there is a need to bring together different areas of research and explore a variety of perspectives on autobiographical memory and the self.

We invite all researchers to submit abstracts for poster presentations describing some of their most recent and exciting findings concerning autobiographical memory, the self or related issues. Please note we welcome poster abstracts from many different areas, including, but not limited to, research on autobiographical memory.

Call for abstracts
We welcome submissions of abstracts for poster presentations at the conference.
Notification whether the abstract is accepted will be sent to the submitting author no later than 15 March 2018. All accepted abstracts can ONLY be presented as posters at the conference.
Only on-line submission is possible. Abstracts sent by fax or paper-copies will not be considered. Please read the guidelines carefully before submission.

Deadline for submission of poster abstracts is 15 January 2018.

Abstracts should be sent by the submission form (which you can find in the left menu or here). You will receive a confirmation email after submitting the abstract.

PLEASE NOTE: If you do not receive a confirmation email within 30 minutes, we have not received your abstract. Please contact the conference administration, Kirsten Pedersen and Heidi Eskegaard Jensen, on amas@psy.au.dk .

Guidelines for abstracts
The abstract must be written in clear and concise English. The title should contain no more than 150 characters including space (about 20 words). The abstract text should contain no more than 150 words. The text must be single spaced. Do not leave lines blank. Abbreviations, (in parentheses after the first full use of the word), should be used for common terms only. Write numbers as numerals rather than words.

The abstract will appear exactly as typed. Therefore, any errors in spelling, grammar or scientific facts will be printed as you type them. Incomplete or incorrectly submitted abstracts will be returned to the author and must be resubmitted before deadline to be considered for presentation. Please note that by submitting your abstract to this conference, you agree that the abstract will be printed in the abstract book as well as on the conference website.
