1 st SimES (Software Engineering Symposium UTFPR-DV) aim to provide a forum for sharing results and knowledge in theory and methodology in Software Engineering, Computer Science, Software Systems, and Applications. In addition to Software Engineering fields, the Symposium looks for contributions and ideas to all major fields of computation in theoretical and practical aspects. Undergraduate students, graduate students, practitioners, and researchers are invited to submit contributions to this event.

Topics of interest include, but are not limited to, the following:

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING
ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE AND DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEMS
INFORMATION SYSTEMS AND INTERNET COMPUTING
OTHER COMPUTER SCIENCE RELATED AREAS AND APPLICATIONS

We invite the submission of papers in all software engineering related areas as well as computer science. In addition to research papers, that should present original work that contribute towards advances in the state-of-the-art, we encourages the submission of (i) position papers, (ii) secondary studies (systematic literature reviews and mapping studies), and (iii) cases experienced in industry. Each submission will be reviewed by at least two members of the SimES Program Committee, defining the studies that will be included in the proceedings. The selected papers will be orally presented in the technical sections of the event.

Paper Submission and format

Contributions are further divided into full (8-10 pages) and short papers (2-4 pages). O 1o SimES (Simpósio de Engenharia de Software da UTFPR-DV) visa a promover um fórum para o compartilhameno de conhecimentos em teorias e metodoligias de Engenharia de Software, Ciência da Computação, Sistemas de Informação e Aplicações. Adicionalmente aos campos de Engenharia de Software, o simpósio busca contribuições e ideias para todas as grandes áreas de computação em aspectos teóricos e práticos. Estudantes de graduação, estudantes de pós-graduação, profissionair da indústria e pesquisadores estão convidados a submeterem contribuições para o evento.

Os tópicos de interesse incluem, mas não se limitam, às seguintes áreas:

- ENGENHARIA DE SOFTWARE
- INTELIGÊNCIA ARTIFICIAL E SISTEMAS DE APOIO A DECISÕES
- SISTEMAS DE INFORMAÇÃO E COMPUTAÇÃO PARA WEB
- OUTRAS ÁREAS E APLICAÇÕES RELACIONADAS À CIÊNCIA DA COMPUTAÇÃO


São bem vindas submissões de artigos todas as áreas relacionadas à engenharia de software e ciência da computação. Adicionalmente aos artigos de pesquisa, que devem apresentar trabalhos originais que contribuam para o estado-da-arte, o SimES encoraja a submissão de (i) artigos de posicionamento (position papers), (ii) estudos secundários (revisões sistemáticas de literatura e mapeamento sistemáticos) e (iii) relatos de experiência da industria. Cada submissão será revisada por, no mínimo, dois membros do comitê do SimES que irão definir os estudos a serem incluídos nos anais do evento. Os estudos selecionados serão apresentados de forma oral na sessões técnicas do evento.


Submissões e formato

Os estudos são divididos em duas categorias: (i) artigos completos (8-10 páginas) e (ii) artigos do tipo resumo expandido (2-4 páginas).
