Call For Papers

The Arkansas Philological Association invites papers for its forty-fourth annual conference—
“The Literary Lens: Craft, Technique, and Process in the Language Arts.” Papers exploring the modes and methods we use to create and interpret literature are particularly encouraged, though papers on related or alternative critical, creative, or pedagogical approaches to language, literature, creative writing, and rhetorical analysis are also welcome.

Creative works of short fiction and poetry are encouraged, and a brief author’s statement should be submitted in lieu of an abstract. All papers and presentations should be no more than 15 minutes in length, and abstracts or author’s statements of no more than 100 words should be sent to Dr. Jeremy Ecke at jsecke@ualr.edu or Dr. Condran at jacondran@ualr.edu with “APA 2017” in the subject line. All submissions should include your full name, rank, institutional affiliation, home or institutional address, and preferred email. Please also indicate whether you will need technology and if you are interested in moderating a session.
