CALL FOR PARTICIPATION
2017 Czech-Austrian Summer School on "Deep Learning and Visual Data Analysis" VSB - Technical University of Ostrava, Czech Republic September 3 - 8, 2017 http://dap.vsb.cz/cass2017/ Introduction The summer school is intended for students interested in advanced data processing and visualization. It will focus on the introduction to the topics of deep learning and visual data analysis and build an interdisciplinary platform for elementary and advanced training in related areas. It will provide an international forum for knowledge transfer, experience sharing, and scientific networking between the participants. Organized by Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, VSB – Technical University of Ostrava University of Vienna Supported by AKTION Czech Republic – Austria Venue The summer school will be held in the campus of the VSB-Technical University of Ostrava which is located in the city of Ostrava. The campus is located at the very edge of the city in the district of Poruba. The district of Poruba is approximately 20 minutes far by bus or tram from Ostrava City Center. Ostrava is the third largest city in the Czech Republic. It is located in the north-eastern part of the state close to the borders with Poland and Slovakia. Ostrava, nicknamed the ‘steel city’, has a rich history of steel production, coal mining, machinery, engineering, and technologies. A limited number of discounted registrations for Austrian and Czech students (5 + 5) will be available. The organizers reserve the right to grant discounted registration waiver at their discretion.
