On 5 May China's first home-grown large passenger plane made its maiden flight. Built by
the Commercial Aircraft Corporation of China (COMAC) this was quite an achievement for China's civil aviation industry and creates new competition for Boeing and Airbus. The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET) is partnering with Beijing Aeronautical Science & Technology Research Institute of COMAC and China's prestigious Tsinghua University to run the 4th International Symposium on More Electric Aircraft Technology. This is a good opportunity to meet with the prominent engineers, researchers and decision makers in China's aerospace industry as well as international experts.
