Introduction
Social media has revolutionized the communication practices of humans. Social media has huge potential not only for personal networking, but also for organizational collaboration and information dissemination. Nonprofit organizations traditionally lack IT infrastructure and social media can be a great enabler for these organizations for advocacy, mobilization, and collaboration tasks.

Objective
The aim of this special issue is to invite ethnographic studies and theoretical contributions examining the inherent issues, technology design implications, user experiences, and guidelines for social media usage in nonprofit settings. We invite high-quality manuscripts exploring social media usage in non-profit settings.

ABOUT International Journal of Information Communication Technologies and Human Development (IJICTHD):
The mission of the International Journal of Information Communication Technologies and Human Development (IJICTHD) is to bring improvement in governance including the socio-economic political environment of society. IJICTHD identifies potential processes, tools, techniques, and applications for the development of human beings and provides insightful analysis about those factors (also contextual and institutional ones) that affect ICTs for human development initiatives. Proposing strategies to both governance and international cooperation organizations for moving forward, this journal also addresses future challenges.
