SWANApalooza 2018
22nd Annual Landfill Symposium, March 5-7, 2018, Denver, Colorado 41st Annual Landfill Gas and Biogas Symposium, March 5-7, 2018, Denver, Colorado Road to Zero Waste Conference, March 5-7, 2018, Denver, Colorado The call for presentation proposals is now open for the 2018 events that comprise SWANApalooza, the annual Spring technical conference for solid waste management professionals conducted by the Solid Waste Association of North America (SWANA). Deadline to submit is August 1, 2017. Multiple submissions from the same speaker will not be allowed. Please submit your ONE best proposal on a topic that addresses the future of solid waste management, innovative practices, and ideas that will offer the audience a "WOW" factor that will have the audience talking about your presentation for days after the event. Feel free to share the proposal submission information with speakers you see at other events who WOW you with their ideas and delivery. The conference planners are most interested in presentations that involve the audience in a conversation, rather than a simple lecture that delivers information. Panel discussions, debates and other formats with audience engagement will receive priority over single presenter, PowerPoint presentations. Presentations from Young Professionals (age 35 or younger) are strongly encouraged. Mentoring by a seasoned professional partnering with a YP to lead a discussion is one way to help a YP build a speaking resume. Before submitting your proposal, please review the information you will need to enter. A PDF of this information is available on the SWANApalooza website after Friday, May 5. You may want to draft your proposal in a Word document so you can cut and paste the information into the appropriate fields, keeping to the stated word guidelines. If you have any questions, please contact techdivisions@swana.org. |
