The School of Business, Management and Economics at the University of Sussex is pleased to announce the 4th Young Finance Scholars’ Conference. The main theme for this year’s event is Commodity and Environmental Markets and it is associated with a special issue of The Journal of Commodity Markets.
The conference provides an opportunity for PhD students, post-doctoral researchers and other young finance scholars to share their research, discuss and debate on their methodologies and approaches, network with their peers and receive expert comments and advice from leading researchers, including editors of some key journals in the field. Conference submissions are encouraged by young scholars working in all areas of: Asset Pricing; Banking; Corporate Finance; Corporate Governance; Risk and Portfolio Management; Trading; Quantitative Finance. Awards will be presented to the best paper in each stream.
This year’s format will have the usual parallel sessions on different areas of finance research, but now spread over two days and interspersed with special sessions: ‘Ask the Editor’ Panel Discussion, Practitioner Round Tables and keynote talks on the main theme of the conference.
