Renewable energy is one of the world strongest growing industries; more than 100 countries have developing sustainable energy policies. Renewable energy resources are projected to be one of the major economic engines of the coming decades. Denmark, for example, aims for 100 percent renewable energy by 2050. The renewable energy laws are still developing. There are many renewable energy incentives and programs: personal income tax credits and deductions, corporate income tax incentives, such as tax credits, deductions, and exemptions, local property tax programs, sales and use tax programs, non-business energy property credits, and alternative motor vehicle tax credits. This interdisciplinary edited volume investigates economic factors of renewable energy use.
