1.Materials and Manufacturing Processes
*Aims and scope
Materials and Manufacturing Processes deals with issues that result in better utilization of raw materials and energy, integration of design and manufacturing activities requiring the invention of suitable new manufacturing processes and techniques, unmanned production dependent on efficient and reliable control of various processes including intelligent processing, introduction of new materials in industrial production necessitating new manufacturing process technology, and more. Information is offered in various formats, including research articles, letter reports, review articles, conference papers, applied research, book and conference reviews, and entire issues devoted to symposia.
All submitted manuscripts are subject to initial appraisal by the Editors, and, if found suitable for further consideration, to peer review by independent, anonymous expert referees. All peer review is single blind and submission is online via ScholarOne Manuscripts.

*Aims and scope
Surface Engineering provides a forum for the publication of refereed material on both the theory and practice of this important enabling technology, embracing science, technology and engineering. Coverage includes design, surface modification technologies and process control, and the characterisation and properties of the final system or component, including quality control and non-destructive examination.
Contributions are invited on any aspect of the use of surface engineering to produce surface-substrate systems having mechanical, tribological, chemical and/ or functional properties that cannot be achieved from the individual components alone.

*Aims and scope
In the last decade, a wide range of smart materials and structures have been developed for aerospace, transportation, and civil engineering applications. Furthermore, there is an increased tendency to integrate smart materials with nanotechnology to develop novel materials or structures for the applications in sensors, actuators, biomaterials, multifunctional materials, structural health monitoring, etc. The combination of smart materials and nanotechnology provides many advantages, realizes novel designs that could not be achieved in traditional engineering, and also offers greater opportunities as well as challenges.
The central aim of International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials is to publish original results, critical reviews, technical discussion and book reviews related to this compelling research field: smart and nano materials, and their applications. We believe that the papers published in this journal will provide cutting edge information and instructive research guidance, encouraging more scientists to make their contribution to this dynamic research field.

Each article published in International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials is published Open Access, which means that, upon payment of an article publishing charge (APC), the article is freely and permanently available on Taylor & Francis Group’s online platform http://www.tandfonline.com. There is no additional subscription fee, article pay-to-view fee, or any other form of access fee; and no publication embargo is applied.
To cover the cost of Open Access publishing, International Journal of Smart and Nano Materials charges an APC of US$1,500/£938/€1,125. As a special offer, Taylor & Francis is currently reducing the APC to $995/£622/€829 for 2016.
