We invite papers from practitioners and academics that engage with the general theme:
Embeddedness of Tourism Worlds: Towards New Frontiers?
The embeddedness of tourism worlds in economic and social practices offers stimulating avenues for research aiming at better understanding the “blurred” boundaries of worlds which are often seen as opposite.
In particular, we invite practitioners and academics to debate about the following (non exhaustive) topics:
- professional and intimate worlds
- luxury and affordable worlds
- legacy and low-cost worlds
- business and leisure worlds (“bleisure”)
- distant and close worlds
- physical and virtual worlds
- transactional and relational worlds
- trade and inclusive worlds
We welcome papers that adopt a theoretical or an empirical perspective on these topics.
Presentations on other travel and tourism research topics are also very welcome
