Call for Papers
---------------------
It is a great pleasure for us to announce that IberSPEECH’2016 will be held
in Lisbon, Portugal, from 23 to 25 November 2016. The IberSPEECH event - the
third of its kind using this name - brings together the IX Jornadas en
Tecnologías del Habla and the V Iberian SLTech Workshop events. The
IberSPEECH’2016 conference is co-organized by INESC-ID Lisboa, the Spanish
Thematic Network on Speech Technology (RTTH), and the ISCA Special Interest
Group on Iberian Languages (SIG-IL).

We encourage all the community working on processing of Iberian Languages to
participate this coming November in a three-day event planned to promote
interaction and discussion. There will be a wide variety of activities:
technical papers presentations, keynote lectures, presentation of projects,
laboratories activities, recent PhD thesis, discussion panels, and awards to
the best thesis and papers.

The topics of interest regarding processing Iberian languages include, but
are not limited to:
1. Speech technology and applications
2. Human speech production, perception, and communication
3. Natural language processing (NLP) and applications
4. Speech, Language and Multimodality
5. Resources, standardization, and evaluation

Paper Submission
-------------------
Papers must be written in English and submission will be online. Papers must
be submitted in PDF, following the LNAI format and should be up to ten (10)
and no less than six (6) pages including references. The last (10th) page
can only contain references. Upon acceptance, at least one author will be
required to register and present the paper at the conference. Publication of
selected papers by Springer in the Lecture Notes in Artificial Intelligence
(LNAI) is planned (not yet confirmed).

We hope to meet you in Lisbon next November.

Best regards,

The conference General co-Chairs:
