Call For Papers

This is an interdisciplinary conference that aims to serve as a forum for researchers, practitioners, policy makers, and development workers who like to share their experience and knowledge of how the power and capabilities of information technologies (IT) can be harnessed for social equity, democracy, and economic advancement in developing countries like Nepal.

Over the last few years, the developing world has seen a rapid growth in the use of IT, especially catalyzed by the rising adoption of mobile phones and smart phones, wider spread of broadband Internet connectivity, growth in software companies and computer institutes, and increase in the public interest towards this field. Still the critical awareness of public and the government lack of physical infrastructure and necessary human resource to close the divide remain key challenges to the developing countries. This conference aims to find ways to make quantum jump in human and economic development by cashing in the unprecedented opportunities through sustainable and strategic use of IT. Theme of this year’s conference is ‘e-learning’.
