Call For Papers
International Conference on Data Compression, Communication, Processing and Security (CCPS2016)
Hotel Cetus - Cetara - Salerno, Italy
September 22-23, 2016
Web site: ccps2016.di.unisa.it
This conference will bring together international researchers to exchange ideas and results related to the theoretical and practical aspects of Data Compression, Data Communication, Data Processing and Data/Information Security.
Topics of interest include but are not limited to:
−Lossless and lossy data compression, source coding, compression for specific types of data, browsing and searching compressed data, minimal length encoding and applications to learning, applications in molecular biology, steganography and the hiding of information in compressed data sets.
−Computer communication and networks, quality of service, traffic engineering, network design optimization and management, peer-to-peer, real time communication services (VoIP, Games, Video), routing, security, optical networking, energy-aware networks, e-commerce, internet services and protocols.
−Data and image processing, string algorithms, parallel algorithms for string manipulation, statistical classification and pattern recognition, information retrieval, data security, signal processing, data mining, bioinformatics and computational biology.
−Data/Information security, encryption, privacy, security and privacy protection mechanisms, identification, authentication and non-repudiation, access control and identity management, inspection and forensics technologies, threat and vulnerability identification and modelling, wireless communications security, cyber-physical threats, vulnerability analysis, and countermeasures, biometrics security and privacy, formal methods for security, security and privacy in pervasive/ubiquitous computing, security and privacy in social networks, security and privacy in distributed computing and storage infrastructures
All the above topics are open to both research and industry contributions.
Papers reporting on original research unpublished elsewhere are primarily sought. Surveys of important results, especially recent ones, are also invited.
PROCEEDINGS AND JOURNAL PUBLICATIONS:
The conference proceedings will be published in electronic form.
Special Issues of the journals “Algorithms”, “Journal of High Speed Networks”, “International Journal of Adaptive and Innovative Systems” and of other mainstream scientific journals will be devoted to the conference topics and all the accepted conference papers will be considered for publication, as extended versions, in these journals.
Submissions are due by July 15, 2016.
Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the conference website.
Submitted manuscripts will be carefully evaluated based on originality, significance, technical soundness, and clarity of exposition.

Cetara is in the Amalfi Coast, a few minutes from Salerno.
This beautiful village is magically suspended between the blue sky and the iridescent colored sea, and it seems to be born from the palette of a painter who wanted to use the warmer color gradients to create a landscape that enchants at first sight the visitor.
The beautiful location and the relaxing atmosphere will be the perfect ingredients for a successful international event, providing a unique opportunity for both researchers and technologists to present, share, and discuss leading research topics, developments, and future directions in their area of interest.
We believe that we can have in Cetara a challenging and productive conference, and we trust that you will also enjoy the location, the culture, the shopping and the food so that your stay will be an amazing experience!
