WAIM2016 Workshop on Mobile Web Data Analytics, MWDA2016
June 3, 2016
Nanchang, Jiangxi, China

Research in mobile and social computing environments is now turning to novel concepts to address the challenge of data processing and analysing. The MWDA2016 workshop addresses issues of data management in mobile and social computing environments with a special focus on data processing. The goal of the workshop is to build a forum for researchers from academy and industry to investigate challenging and innovative research issues in the subject, which combines data analytics within mobile and social environment and to explore creative concepts, theories, innovative technologies and intelligent solutions. We intend this workshop to act as an initial place where people from different areas can find a forum to discuss issues of data management and processing in new and emerging mobile computing environments. Potential participants may come from communities of mobile computing, social computing, or any other areas related to data mining, processing and analysing and etc., in order to present their state-of-the-art progress and visions on the various overlaps across those disciplines.

The topics include but are not limited to the following:
1.Activity Recognition in Pervasive and Ubiquitous Environments
2.Big Data Ming in Mobile Social Networks
3.Mobile Cloud Computing Techniques for Big Data
4.Variation-Aware Data Analytics and High-Speed Data Stream Mining in Ubiquitous Environment
5.Mining Mobility Social Media for Information about Health or Finance
6.Identifying Sentiment and Emotion towards Mobile Products and Services
7.Identifying the Holder and the Object of the Sentiment
8.Deep learning for Semantic Solutions and Its Applications in Mobile and Social Media Data Mining

Paper submission deadline: April 20, 2016.
Notification deadline: May 6, 2016.
Camera-ready: June 12, 2016

Paper Submission
All submissions should be in English. Every research paper submitted to the workshop will undergo the reviewing process by at least two reviewers. Structured Presentation and Discussion
In order to enable maximum interaction and constructive feedback, the presentation and discussion of papers will be structured. Each accepted paper must give a presentation in this workshop. A 15 minute time slot is allocated to each accepted paper structured as follows:
*Presentation (10 minutes)
The presenter gives a short presentation, focusing on the "best" part of the paper, or the most challenging one. Each presenter must speak in English and use slides.
*Discussion (5 minutes)
Everyone in this workshop has the opportunity to ask the presenter(s) questions for clarification, answer previous questions, and initiate further discussions that he/she wants to participate in.
At last, the workshop will provide a group discussion session to allow participants to exchange their ideas, and share their research experiences.

The proceedings of the workshop will be published by Springer-Verlag in the Lecture Notes in Computer Science (LNCS) series (indexed by EI). Selected accepted papers will be invited to submit expanded versions for possible publication in a special issue of the Chinese Journal of Electronics (SCI-indexed).
