Call For Papers

The International Society for Computed Tomography (ISCT) invites abstracts for poster presentation at the 2016 Annual Meeting. All abstracts must be submitted electronically, using the online EPosters wizard provided at the link below. Please submit your abstract for consideration. http://isct2016.eabstractsubmission.com/

The objective of the poster session is to foster research and to promote and exchange new ideas in Radiology. The program will include oral presentations of 15 abstracts and electronic scientific and educational posters.

Abstract Application Topics/Categories:
All applications must be directly related to Computed Tomography and fall under one of the following categories, which you will be able to choose during the submission of your application:

Abdomen and pelvic
Cardiac
Contrast Material
Image Processing
Informatics
Interventional
Neuro
Oncology
Pediatric
Practice Management
Radiation Management and Exposure
Technical Developments
Thoracic
Vascular
Workflow
Deadline for Submissions:
The deadline for submissions is on March 1st, 2016 and you will be notified of the outcome a while after, via email, at the email address you provided during your submission.

Abstract Review & Judging:
All submissions will be reviewed and scored by a panel of judges prior to the conference, based on:

Relevance to conference topics
Demonstration of evidence-based, innovative and emerging approaches to care
Clarity and completeness of submission.
Oral presentations: A limited number of posters will be selected for oral presentation in the main lecture hall. Please indicate that you would be interested in giving a brief presentation if selected. Regardless of selection for oral presentation in the main hall, all presenters will be assigned a designated a time for discussion of their posters with delegates. Availability to present/discuss your work is an important part of the poster presentation experience at ISCT

Posters: The 2016 Annual International CT Symposium poster session will be in electronic format: http://isct2016.eabstractsubmission.com/. Guidelines for preparing ePoster presentations in Power Point format will be provided upon abstract acceptance.

Scientific abstracts will be scored on the basis of scientific merit. Educational abstracts for ePoster presentation will be scored on the basis of teaching value.

The first author listed for each abstract serves as the presenting author and as the primary contact for all correspondence regarding the abstract. The presenting author is responsible for the following:

Ensuring that all co-authors have read the abstract and agreed to participate. Failure to acquire approval from all co-authors will result in rejection of the abstract.
Obtaining conflict of interest (COI) disclosure information from all co-authors.
An individual may be listed as “presenting author” on no more than 3 abstracts.

“Presenting authors” in-training (fellows, residents, and medical students) must include an attending radiologist on the abstract. Although you may submit an abstract that has been previously presented, preference will be given to original work that has not been presented elsewhere. Accepted abstracts will be published in ISCT Education On-Demand if they have not already been published in another journal and if permission to publish is granted by the abstract author.

Accepted Applications
For all accepted abstract applications, the presenting author must register for the symposium and be present at the meeting. The ISCT will provide a $250 scholarship to accepted presenting authors.
