Call for papers

Aim and scope
Following on from the successful previous six editions of the International Supercomputing Conference in Mexico (ISUM), the Organizing Committee is delighted to announce and to invite to participate in the ISUM2016.
The 7th ISUM meeting celebrates new conditions for the high-performance computing in Mexico (HPC). Effectively, new laboratories for HPC are up and working. Furthermore, now Mexico is back into the list of the 500 most powerful supercomputers in the world.
The hosting institution, Benemerita Universidad Autonoma de Puebla, recently opened the Laboratorio Nacional de Supercomputer del Sureste de Mexico (LNS). This is a watershed in the HPC development in Mexico, because a public university outside of the capital city, for the first time, has a high computational power facility, hosting one of the most powerful supercomputers in Latin America. The LNS data center is now in the process of certification as an ICREA III. LNS is strongly supporting academia, government, and industry.
One of the main goals of the ISUM2016 is to open the possibilities for a wide interchange of ideas, to spread new tendencies in HPC; to present new results of scientific research obtained using supercomputing support. ISUM 2016 gives the opportunity to listen to plenary talks by world leaders of HPC. Moreover, one of the most important motivations of the meeting is to open a general communication forum with the industry for a high-level discussion with relevant subjects as innovation, development, and research.
ISUM2016 keeps in mind the importance of human resources formation. To accomplish that, we are offering five trending topic workshops.
We appreciate your participation, and willingness to present your latest research. Papers are solicited on the following and related topics:
1. Cluster Grid and Cloud Computing for Architectures in Industry
2. Applications for Science, Engineering, Health, Scientific Visualization, Simulation and Modeling
3. Parallel Processing , Algorithms and Techniques in GGPU and CPU
4. Tools and Environments for High Performance System Engineering, Software Tools, Programming Tools, Virtualization.
5. Systems to solve Complex problems in Academic and Scientific Research fields
6. Emerging and New Technologies for HPC, Big Data, Advance Networking, Petascale / Exascale Technologies.
7. Green Computing
8. HPC for Business Computing
9. HPC for Oil & Gas Industry.

DATES Conferences & Courses: 11-15 April 2016 Exhibition: 11-13 April 2016

VENUE
The ISUM2016 hosting city: Heroica Puebla de Zaragoza, appointed as part of UNESCO's World Heritage and one of the world's most highly awarded cities, is a good gateway to Mexico. Because of its wide tourism infrastructure, vast culture, tradition, gastronomy and world-class events, Puebla is on the international map as a one of a kind destination.
All ISUM2016 sessions will take place in the Cultural University Complex (CCU) located in the south of the city. The CCU is one of the modern landmarks of the BUAP, has an entire infrastructure designed for seminars, conferences, and meetings in a pleasant and cultural environment. It has activities that allow attendees (in their spare time) access to music, theater, cinema, etc.
