CFP: Cyber Security, International Business and the Cloud – Cleveland, OH
January 13, 2015 – Calls for Papers, Conference, Laws and Technology. The Global Business Law Review (GBLR) proudly presents its annual Symposium, which will be focused on cyber security and cloud computing in an international business context. The event will take place at the Cleveland-Marshall College of Law on April 9, 2016 in Cleveland, Ohio. Panelist Proposals Deadline: February, 1, 2016. Abstract Deadline: February 18, 2016. Please submit all materials to Sarah Mancuso, Symposium Editor of The Global Business Law Review at s.m.mancuso@cmlaw.csuohio.edu. For further information, please contact Sarah Mancuso. The GBLR is now accepting extended essays or articles discussing issues that relate to cyber security and cloud computing in an international business context. These submissions will be published in conjunction with the Symposium. Working drafts should be submitted as soon as possible, but no later than February 18, 2016. The GBLR welcomes submissions from legal scholars and practitioners, as well as experts in the fields of computer engineering, coding, corporate risk management, trade secret protection experts and others closely related to cyber security or intellectual property theft within the international business field. In addition to written works, the GBLR is accepting applications to participate as a panelist at the Symposium. The panel will discuss the existing legal framework in place to protect business information as it is stored in the cloud and potential redress for damages caused by cyber attacks or lack of conformity to regulation. The panel will further discuss potential remedies to prevent future digital trade secret theft within the international business context. Panelists that participate in the Symposium will have travel and lodging expenses covered. For speakers interested in participating on a panel, please submit an abstract of a proposed discussion no later than February 18, 2016. |
