Call for Papers for the
----------------------------------------------------------------- 1st QUALITY ASSESSMENT in WEB (QAW 2009) ----------------------------------------------------------------- in conjunction with ICWE 2009 June 24-26, 2009 San Sebastian, Spain. Workshop Website: http://alarcos.inf-cr.uclm.es/qaw/ IMPORTANT DATES --------------- Submission deadline: April 30th, 2009. Author notification: May 15th, 2009. Camera-ready: June 1st, 2009. The workshop: June 22-26, 2009. (exact day will be announced) BACKGROUND AND OBJECTIVES ------------------------- The growing demand of quality software has made the quality become a discriminative factor among software products, and therefore a key aspect for software success. Technological advances and the use of Internet have encouraged the appearance of a wide variety of Web applications. As a result, over the past decade the number of organizations that have used Web applications has grown dramatically. Thus, it is necessary to carefully asses, define, and use the several dimensions that describe the quality of Web applications. We want to promote all areas related to the quality of web applications with the first edition of this workshop, by giving to researchers the opportunity of sharing their works and providing a forum to discuss the various aspects of Web quality and the development of quality applications and services. Moreover, we hope to identify possible future lines during the workshop related to the discussed topics. TOPICS (include but are not limited to): ---------------------------------------- - Web Data Quality - Web Quality in use - Web Quality measurement - Web Quality visualization - Web Quality validation - Web Quality reviews - Quality in software development - Web Quality requirements - Web Quality Models - Web quality frameworks - Web quality methodologies - Web quality tools - New trends in web quality PAPER SUBMISSION ---------------- Submissions should be not more than 10 pages long in LNCS format. They have to include the authors? name, affiliation and contact details. Submissions will be handled through the EasyChair system at http://icwe2009.webengineering.org/submit. On entering, the user should select the ?QAW Workshop? track. All accepted and presented workshop papers will be published in CEUR (a free online publication with ISSN).
