IEEE PEMC is the oldest power electronics and motion control conference in Europe, held already sixteen times under the name of PEMC, and being a direct continuation of the international conferences organized since 1970 by the Hungarian Electro technical Association, all that time aiming to connect the East and the West. Now, already for 45 years, the PEMC Council, involving scientists from all over the world, supervises the organization of PEMC conferences. In August 2015, the Industrial Electronics Society of the IEEE conferred to the conference the prestigious name of IEEE-PEMC reflecting its premier role, in the existing conference series. The most recent conferences were held in Slovenia (2006), Poland (2008), Macedonia (2010), Serbia (2012) and Turkey (2014). The 2016 edition will be held in the beautiful city of Varna, Bulgaria. The aim of the conference is to bring together researchers and practitioners from industry and academia, from different countries and provide them with a platform to report on their developments, technology trends and research results, related to the Power Electronics and Motion Control.
Topics The scope of the conference will cover, but will not be limited to, the following topics: • Power Electronic Converter Topologies, Design and Control • Power Electronics in Transportation: Road, Aerospace and Maritime Vehicles (Electric and Hybrid) • Power Electronics in Smart Grid Technologies, Applications and Policies • Power Electronics in Electrical Energy Generation, Transmission and Distribution • Power Electronics in Renewable Energy Systems • Electrical Machines and Actuators • Motion Control, Adjustable Speed Drives and Robotics • Mechatronics • Power Supplies • Sensors, Measurement and Observation Techniques • Active Filtering and Unity Power Factor Correction, Energy Efficiency • Semiconductor Devices Modeling, Packaging and Integration • Education • Other Related Topics, New and Emerging Paradigms Paper Submission The working language of the conference is English. Prospective authors are requested to submit full papers (6 pages max) following the guidelines available on the conference website. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in IEEE Xplore and ISI Thomson. Each accepted paper must be presented at the conference by one of the authors. |
