13th IEEE International Workshop on
Managing Ubiquitous Communications and Services
MUCS 2016
http://ubiquitous-management.org/mucs/2016
A full-day workshop on March 14 or 18, 2016, as part of the 14th Annual IEEE Conference on Pervasive Computing and Communications PerCom 2016 in Sydney, Australia, 14-18 March 2016.

Scope
=====

Ubiquitous communications and related services have experienced a rapid increase in interest and development over the past decade and led into the race into the Internet of Things. As the pace of this growth continues to accelerate, both everyday users and service providers face significant management challenges - ranging from the heterogeneous networks over which these services must operate to the need for semantic interoperability of services, even of those developed by different providers.

Since 2003, the MUCS workshop has provided a very successful forum for researchers and practitioners to explore the theoretical, technological, and organizational challenges, and to present advances in management techniques and technologies, for pervasive computing and smart space applications.

The workshop provides a single-track scientific program containing a blend of keynote presentations from leaders in research in this area, peer-reviewed papers, a small selection of invited presentations, and a topical panel discussion. The goal of the workshop is to investigate the state of the art in managing pervasive/smart space applications from a broad perspective.

Topics
======

Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to)

- Management of the Internet of Things
- Management of Federated Pervasive Environments
- Management of End-to-end Communications
- Context Aware Management and Configuration

Paper Submission Guideline and Proceedings
==========================================

Paper submissions must present original, unpublished research or experiences. Late-breaking advances and work-in-progress reports from ongoing research are also encouraged.

Authors are requested to submit papers limited to 6 pages in IEEE 8.5x11 conference format, and formatted in accordance with the IEEE Computer Society author guidelines. The templates can be found at [http://www.ieee.org/conferences_events/conferences/publishing/templates.html]

Proceedings: Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings and submitted for publication to IEEE Xplore Digital Library. No-shows of accepted papers at the workshop will result in those papers NOT being included in the IEEE Digital Library. Hardcopy proceedings will be published through the Multicon Lecture Notes series with ISBN. Selected papers will be invited to be extended and
submitted for a special track in Elsevier’s Pervasive and Mobile Computing (PMC) Journal.

Direct your questions to the Program Chairs:

Elena Gaura (Coventry University)
Eryk Dutkiewicz (Macquarie University in Sydney, Australia)
Please submit your paper electronically in PDF format to EDAS [ https://edas.info/N21119 ].
