Call For Papers

Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Colleagues,

We are very pleased to announce the start of the Abstract submission for the EGU General Assembly 2016 (EGU2016), 17 – 22 April 2016, Vienna, Austria. You are cordially invited to submit your scientific works to our session:

GI2.7/ESSI1.10
Remote sensing in natural resources industry (co-organized)
Convener: Olga Hachay
Co-Conveners: Said GACI, Hocine Chellal

Remote sensing is of a high importance in natural resources (oil, gas, mineral deposits, coal, etc.) industry. In Oil exploration, this technique provides appropriate planning tools for the layout of 2D and 3D seismic surveys and exploration drilling program, as well as helpful information regarding environmental and operational safety hazards to minimize the HSE risks. In petroleum development and production, it allows increasing efficiency of pipeline planning utilizing 3D terrain models, minimizing time and cost of choosing new well locations and access roads, predicting environmental impact and reducing risk with reliable data, etc. This session aims at the discussion of the various applications of remote sensing in natural resources research.

The deadline for the receipt of abstracts is 13 Jan 2016, 13:00 CET. In case you would like to apply for support, please submit no later than 01 Dec 2015.

Best wishes,
Said GACI,
